My name is Will MacDonald and Brian Batsch was my brother in law for 30 years. Brian married Sharon Smith and I married Patty Smith 22 years later thats how we first met. Although I did not know Brian that well there will always be things about him that will stay with me for life . The day I married his sister in law Patty Smith he instantly accepted me as part of the family and made me feel extremely welcome . Patty and I over the years spent a number of weekends in Edmonton with Sharon and Brian and he was always a gracious host and I enjoyed many cigars and glasses of scotch in his backyard . Brian was defiantly one of a kind and the most talented human I have ever met from his paintings to his interior decoration to his exterior decoration these things were created in the mind of a truly great artist . I will miss you Brian and you have left an impression on me I will never forget.
