I was lucky enough to know Dennis and his family for about 27 years, and during that time to consider him my best pal. Dennis was truly a Renaissance man, equally at home filing a court motion as measuring and cutting timber for his latest project. A man who moved from the Soccer field to the Supreme Court, in a journey with too many interesting diversions to list here. He was as relaxed in a London Club as at the Smokey Lake Cafe. His greatest love and pride lay in his family to whom his loyal devotion was endless. Dennis never lost his Dundonian feistiness, which he displayed most prominently in his legal battles, notably when taking on The Establishment . Truly it can be thought of Dennis," when they made him they threw the mould away. Maybe his most lasting , but not lauded quality was his ability to teach and inspire, I regularly hear his voice saying" Johnny, measure twice and cut once pal" in offering my Condolences to Patricia, Cameron,Duncan and Julie I say in Gaelic " Ar dheis Dé go raibh a Anam" ,( May his soul be at Gods right side" and to Dennis " I love you Pal
